WATCH LIVE: Continuous coverage of Hurricane Matthew

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - As Hurricane Matthew begins to impact the Grand Strand, the WMBF News team will be providing continuous coverage until the threat has passed.

The storm surge for Myrtle Beach is expected to be three to five feet. High tides will occur at approximately 1:30 p.m. The storm will affect Withers Swash and 70th- 82nd Avenue Dune Breaches, and significant erosion is expected.

Garden City's storm surge is expected to be three to five feet. High tides will occur around 1:24 p.m. The storm will affect Atlantic Avenue, Cypress Avenue, and Azalea Avenue. Major erosion is possible for these areas.

Pawleys Island storm surge is expected to be three to six feet. High tides will occur at 1:30 p.m. The storm will affect Causeway Drive, Pawleys Pier Village, Atlantic Avenue, and Stamper Trail. Major erosion is expected.

Wind speeds:

Myrtle Beach: 50 - 75 mph

Conway: 40 - 60 mph

Murrells Inlet: 50 - 75 mph

Georgetown: 50 - 80 mph

Florence: 40 - 50 mph
