Myrtle Beach firefighters come to aid of cat in tree

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – For anyone who has ever wondered if firefighters save cats from trees, Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue can answer that question with a resounding "yes."

According to a post on the MBFR's Facebook page, firefighters helped a woman get her cat out of a tree on Wednesday using the department's 100-foot Pierce Tower Ladder.

MBFR Lt. Jon Evans said the rescue effort happened on St. Thomas Circle, which is near 44th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.
