MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Two suspects are accused of taking credit cards, documents, and medication from two visitors at the Econo Lodge at approximately 3:00 Tuesday morning, according to an incident report from MBPD.

The woman told the responding officer that she slept in the front room, closest to the balcony, so she could listen to the ocean.

She also said that she left the balcony door open.

The victim said that she later heard the hotel room door close.

She thought that the person who was with her went out for coffee, but he was still in the room.

According to the report, she looked out of the peep hole of the hotel door and saw the suspects.

She wasn’t sure if the suspects came from the room across the hall, but saw them walking away.

The victim said that she had a carry-on bag that contained social security cards, birth certificates, passports, debit cards, and her medication.

Later that morning, the officer responded to a convenience store. The store clerk told the officer that a customer brought in two debit cards and an Indiana I.D. that was found near the gas pumps.

The items belonged to the victims, and were returned, the report states.

The officer wasn’t able to locate the other items.

The report states that there wasn’t any evidence processed at the crime scene. The manager of the motel said that at the time of the incident, they were the only ones in a room on that floor.
