CAROLINA FOREST (WMBF) - Horry County Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to an area hospital Sunday night.
Authorities say it happened just after 8 p.m., on Stafford Drive. Shell casings were found outside one home on that road.
According to an incident report from the Horry County Police Department, officers stopped and talked to two people standing in front of the home in the 400 block of Stafford Drive.
Police reportedly saw several spots of blood in the road as well as blood in the rear seat of a 2005 Cadillac CTS parked on the side of the road, the report stated.
Additionally, several items of clothing and a purse that appeared to be covered in blood were found on the ground.
Authorities did not give any details about the two victims' conditions. However, they said they were searching a grassy area nearby the road.
