FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The Taste of Florence event has been postponed from October 18 of this year to January 19, 2017.
"After much prayer, consideration, discussion and counsel from fellow leadership, the decision to postpone the Taste of Florence has been made," states an e-mail from Jennifer Hoover, the co-chair of the Taste of Florence.
The e-mail explains that October has become an increasingly busy month for restaurants and sponsors because of catering, holidays, and competing festivals and festivities.
"Many who want to participate are just overly committed," Hoover states. "The Taste of Florence Planning Committee made the decision to move it in hopes that January would be a better time for everyone involved. It is traditionally a slower month for most so hopefully all will welcome the change!"
The Taste of Florence is an annual event that brings local restaurants and food vendors to the Florence Civic Center to showcase their specialties.
All admission tickets dated October 18 will be honored on January 19, Hoover states.
