Two firefighters hurt in fire truck crash in Darlington County

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Two Darlington County firefighters were hurt when the fire truck they were on crashed near Hartsville Sunday afternoon. 

Darlington County Fire District Chief Ricky Flowers said the truck was responding to a house fire in the Pine Ridge community on Old Camden Road around 1:30 p.m. when the wreck happened. 

No other vehicles were said to be involved in the wreck.

Flowers said the firefighters were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Flowers said he hopes to release more information on how the crash happened following an investigation.
