MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Kenny Chesney will headline the 2017 Carolina Country Music Fest, which will take place in Myrtle Beach from June 9 to 11, 2017.
The music festival's official Twitter and Facebook pages announced that Chesney, an eight-time Entertainer of the Year with 28 number one singles, will be one of over 30 artists to perform at next year's three-day event.
"Kenny Chesney is a perfect fit for Carolina Country," said Bob Durkin, President of Full House Productions, the company bringing the CCMF back to Myrtle Beach for its third year. "With a strong tie – musically and personally – to the ocean, Chesney is a perfect headliner, as he personifies what a beachfront festival is all about."
Chesney's number one singles include "American Kids," "Save It For A Rainy Day," "When the Sun Goes Down," "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems," "Anything But Mine," "You & Tequila" with Grace Potter, and the brand new "Setting the World on Fire" with P!NK.
More artists will be announced in the coming weeks, according to a tweet from the event's Twitter account.
General admission tickets are currently priced at $159, VIP passes now run $329, and "Super VIP" passes are $999.
The 2016 Carolina Country Music Fest took place at the former Pavilion site on Ocean Boulevard from June 9 to 12, and an estimated 25,000 people attended. Headliners for this summer's event included Keith Urban, Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line.
