FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – Crews are repairing a 12-inch water main split that initially occurred Monday, September 19 at the 300 block of S.Irby Street, according to Michael Hemingway, Public Works Director for the City of Florence.
While crews were trying to resolve the issue, the split ruptured again.
There are a combination of 20 connections without water or low water pressure, said Hemingway.
The water main split does not affect residential areas – only small businesses.
Crews are continuing to work on the split.
Hemingway says there is no status of when the operation will be completed.
