Newborn tested positive for cocaine, mother wanted

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A DSS employee said that a woman and her newborn baby both tested positive for cocaine, according to a police report from MBPD.

Anastasia Octavia Barr,27, has been entered into NCIC as wanted. She is a black female with black hair and brown eyes. Barr is 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighs 237 pounds.

The employee said that the baby's blood sample was taken for drug testing and it came back positive. The mother was tested as well and it too resulted positive for the presence of cocaine. A sample of her hair was taken prior to the birth of the child.

The police report states that the employee provided drug screening documents.

DSS now has the child and the employee is the case officer for this family.

There is a warrant for the mother for unlawful conduct towards a child.
