Investigators search for two runaway juveniles

BENNETSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – Chief Deputy Charles Lemon would like the public’s help in locating two teens and a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado z71 that was taken away from Dennis Lane in Wallace.

According to Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office press release, Joshua Crowley, 15, was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and white tennis shoes. He is a white male with black hair and blue eyes and is 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighing 160 pounds.

The female who is his girlfriend Darian Leigh Hewitt, 13, is a white female and is 5-feet-9-inches tall, weighing 110 pounds with brown hair and eyes. Her clothing description is unknown, but is believed to be wearing a ball cap, the press release states.

Sunday morning, it appeared that Joshua walked to Darian’s house and she came out of the house with the truck keys and they left.

A witness observed Darian coming out the house and the truck leaving.

According to the release, it appears that camping supplies and canned goods were taken from the home.

The truck is Gold and has a SC tag of BWL 255 and is extended cab with a diamond plated toolbox. The truck has a Jesus with the crown of thorns sticker on the back window and a Gamecocks tag on the front.

The motive is unknown and it’s not clear if anyone else was in the truck with them in Marlboro County.

MCSO investigators are searching phone records and SLED is investigating with this case.
