CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A Horry County jury returned a not guilty verdict for a Longs man charged in connection with a fatal 2014 shooting.
According to court records, the jury came back with the not guilty verdict on Thursday for Tyrone Ford, 46, whose murder case went to trial earlier this week.
The charge stemmed from the March 3, 2014 shooting on Star Bluff Road on Longs that claimed the life of 22-year-old Jamey Desean Lewis.
A second suspect, Robert Ford, 29, was also charged with murder in connection with Lewis' death.
Ford's case has not yet gone to trial. He remains incarcerated in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center, according to online jail records.
