1 man arrested, 1 man wanted in murder case of Dillon man

DILLON, SC (WMBF) – According to the Dillon Police Department, two warrants have been issued for the death of a man was found near a home in the 200 block of South Fourth Avenue.

Police identified the victim as Brandon A. Hargrove, of Dillon. He was shot multiple times and found dead inside a small building behind the residence.

Allan McCall of Dillon was arrested on September 10 and Tony McCants of Dillon is being sought for the murder of Hargrove, the release states.

    A trial date has been set for one of the three suspects charged in connection to three convenience store robberies in 2015, two of which were deadly. According to a court roster from the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, James Daniels’ trial is expected to begin on August 27.

    Seasonably hot and humid weather will linger through the rest of the week before rain chances increase again by the weekend.  This afternoon will be another hot one with temperatures near 90 at the beach and the lower and middle 90s across the Pee Dee. The heat index will climb to around 100 for most of the afternoon. While most areas will stay dry, a few spots may see a brief afternoon storm.
