PDRTA to hold two public hearings for DART bus route changes

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - The Pee Dee Regional Transportation Authority (PDRTA) will hold two public hearings on Monday, September 12 from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Wednesday, September 14 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Darlington County Library located at 204 N. Main Street.

According to Planning Director Lisa Rock, The public hearings will receive comments about proposed changes to the Darlington DART bus route and schedule. The public comment period on this issue will close on September 14.

Comments may be submitted online at www.pdrta.org, or by calling (843) 519-0994.

    MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) -  A local motorcycle club rallied the community together today in honor of two women killed in a bank robbery in Conway. Rivertown Riders hosted a memorial ride today for CresCom Bank employees-- Donna Major and Katie Skeen.     A 14-month-old female is currently on life support at Duke University, according to Robeson County Sheriff Sealy. Police received a call from the hospital who suspected child abuse. According to Sheriff Sealy, the child was brought to the hospital on Friday and had severe bruises throughout her body.

    Five men were arrested for solicitation of prostitution in Florence County Friday night, according to online jail records. Deangelo Anton Williams, of Darlington Julius Levern Frierson, of Florence Kendrick Laroy Dixon, of Bishopville Ryan Scott Yarborough, of Darlington Samson Ejiofor Nnaji, of Tampa, Florida All five men were arrested for solicitation of prostitution after midnight Friday night and have since been released.
