MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – He is known around the Grand Strand as The Snake Chaser, and now his knowledge of those slithery reptiles and other species is coming to people’s phones.

A new app available from Google Play, called The Snake Chaser, will help users identify eastern venomous and non-venomous snakes, as well as nuisance wildlife, according to a description on the Google Play website.

Additionally, the app allows users to reach out to The Snake Chaser himself, Russell Cavendar. He works as a professional nuisance wildlife and reptile removal and management expert.

Back in August, Cavendar performed one of his recent removals when he moved a 10-foot-long alligator from a pond near Tanger Outlets on U.S. 17.
