Darlington man arrested in connection with July shooting

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – A Darlington man wanted in connection with a July shooting was arrested on Thursday in Florence.

According to online records from the Darlington County Detention Center, Kenrick Tafari Edwards, 18, was booked at 4 p.m., Thursday on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

A bond has not yet been set.

Lt. Kimberly Nelson, with the Darlington Police Department, said the suspect was located on Douglas Street in the city of Florence.

Edwards is charged in connection with a July 9 shooting that took place in the Brockington Heights Apartments. One person was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
