CCU hosts Florida A&M on Saturday

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina dealt with some turbulence on and off the field in their week one win at Lamar.

The first 30 minutes of the Chants plane ride to Texas and the first half of their contest got off to a rocky start as CCU trailed 14 to 3 at halftime against the Cardinals.

Coastal returned home with a come from behind 38-14 win, outscoring Lamar 35-3 in the second half.

CCU will welcome FAMU to Brooks Stadium on Saturday. The two teams have only met once on the gridiron back in 2014 with the Chants coming out on top.

Coach Mogila is expecting a strong bite from the Rattlers this weekend.

"They've got good skill people. Their defense, they do a good job of disguising stuff. The secondary, the linebackers get to the ball. Their defensive line is more stout than mobile. But the skill guys move around pretty good. The skill guys move around pretty well. We're not specifically concerned about one of them, we're concerned about the group. We gotta focus and pay attention to our job," said Mogila.

Running back De'Angelo Henderson can break a NCAA D-I record on Saturday with a touchdown in 28 straight games.

Hop is two rushing touchdowns away from tying the CCU all time record, and eight points away from becoming the all time leading scorer.

Chants and Rattlers kick off this Saturday at 7 p.m.
