HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A man was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with a fatal August hit-and-run crash that occurred in the Conway area.
According to information on the J. Reuben Long Detention Center website, Kenneth Randall Brown, 68, of Conway, was charged with hit-and-run involving death.
A $10,000 bond was set Tuesday afternoon, according to jail records. Brown was still listed as incarcerated as of 5:30 p.m.
According to an arrest warrant from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the suspect was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup truck on U.S. 701 on Aug. 2 and was involved in a crash that resulted in the death of one person.
Brown allegedly failed to stop and provide aid and information, the warrant stated.
The man found in the roadside ditch was identified as 61-year-old Jeffrey Glenn King, Sr.
