Service delays expected for Coast RTA

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – There will be expected delays for Coast RTA’s service area of Horry and Georgetown Counties because of the inclement weather throughout Friday, according to a press release from Coast RTA.

The Entertainment Shuttle has been shortened with services from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The 10:15 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. of 7 Express that runs from Conway to Myrtle Beach is canceled, the release states.

For the latest information on Friday’s bus service, refer to Coast RTA’s APP or contact their customer service at 843-488-0865.

    A trial date has been set for one of the three suspects charged in connection to three convenience store robberies in 2015, two of which were deadly. According to a court roster from the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, James Daniels’ trial is expected to begin on August 27.

    Seasonably hot and humid weather will linger through the rest of the week before rain chances increase again by the weekend.  This afternoon will be another hot one with temperatures near 90 at the beach and the lower and middle 90s across the Pee Dee. The heat index will climb to around 100 for most of the afternoon. While most areas will stay dry, a few spots may see a brief afternoon storm.
