UPDATE: Early dismissals, closings and cancellations caused by Hurricane Hermine

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Below is a list of early dismissals, closings and cancellations due to Tropical Storm Hermine that have been announced so far. Also included are districts and events that have not announced plans, or will continue Friday in spite of the weather:

Schools

Carolina Academy: The Lake City school will dismiss early on Friday. Kindergarten students will dismiss at 11:30 a.m., grades one through four will dismiss at 11:45 a.m., grades five and six will dismiss at 12 p.m., and grades seven through 12 will dismiss at 12:15 p.m.

Coastal Carolina University: The daytime class schedule for Friday will continue as usual, but classes after 5 p.m. have been canceled, officials stated.

Coker College: Coker College will close on Friday at 2 p.m., due to the prospect of inclement weather and the potential for flash flooding.

Creative Beginnings Child Development Center: The center, located at 4047 Holmestown Road in Myrtle Beach, will be closing tomorrow at 12 p.m. Their after-school program is canceled as well.

Darlington County School District: Due to the threat of high winds and inclement weather, the Darlington County School District will dismiss students after lunch on Friday. Depending on the school, buses will dismiss between 12 and 1:30 p.m. For the exact time each school will dismiss, click here

Dillon School District Three: Will operate on a half-day schedule for students and employees.

Dillon School District Four: On Friday, DSD4 schools will operate on a half-day schedule for students and all employees. 

Emmanuel Christian School: All students will be dismissed from the Hartsville school at 11:45 a.m., on Friday. 

Excellent Learning Preschool: The Florence school will close at 11:30 a.m., on Friday due to inclement weather.

Florence Christian School: The school will operate on a half-day schedule Friday. Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Students in the upper school will be dismissed at 12 p.m. The childcare will also close at 12 p.m.

Florence County School District One: Due to the threat of inclement weather, Florence One schools will dismiss early on Friday.  Elementary schools will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m., while middle and high schools will dismiss at 12:45 p.m.

Florence County School District Two: According to district news release, all Florence County District Two schools will dismiss at 12 p.m., and all Friday evening activities have been canceled. 

Florence County School District Three: On Friday, FSD3 schools will dismiss early: "Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. J. Paul Truluck Intermediate, Ronald E. McNair Junior High and the Alternative Center for Education will dismiss at 12 p.m. Lake City High will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Schools will serve lunch before dismissal. Employees will be dismissed at their regular times," states a release from the district.

Florence County School District Five: The district in Johnsonville will have an early release on Friday. "Students attending Johnsonville Elementary School will release at 11:10 a.m. and Johnsonville Middle and High Schools at 12:00 noon.  The Johnsonville vs. Hemingway Varsity Football Game for Friday night has been moved to Saturday, September 3, at 3:00 p.m. at Johnsonville Stadium," a release from the district states.

Francis Marion University: The school will be closing at 2:30 p.m., on Friday.

Georgetown County School District: According to a news release from the district:"Georgetown County School District will dismiss all elementary and intermediate schools today, Friday at 10:45 a.m. All middle and high schools will dismiss at 11 a.m. Schools will remain open for parents who cannot pick up their children until the previously announced early dismissal time."

Horry County Schools: Horry County Schools will dismiss three hours early on Friday for all students and employees, district officials confirmed. All school-related activities and events are canceled for Friday and Saturday.

Kings Academy: The Florence school will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Little River Child Development Center: The center will close at 1 p.m., Friday due to the threat of inclement weather.

Maranatha Christian School: The school in Florence will be dismissing early on Friday at 1:00 p.m. and the childcare will close at 2:00 p.m. 

Marion County School District: Schools will dismiss early on Friday. Elementary and primary schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m., and middle and high schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. All school-related activities and events are canceled for Friday and Saturday. The early dismissal applies to all district students and employees.

Marlboro County School District: The district is announcing that schools for students and staff will be dismissed after a half day on Friday. The following dismissal schedule will be in effect: Bennettsville Primary and School of Discovery at 10:35 a.m.; Bennettsville Intermediate, Blenheim Elementary and Middle, Clio Elementary and Middle, Marlboro County High, McColl Elementary and Middle and Wallace Elementary and Middle at 11 a.m.; and Marlboro AMI School at 12:45 p.m.

Public Schools of Robeson County: the Public Schools of Robeson County will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. on Friday for all students and school staff.  All primetime and after-school activities are canceled as well. 

St. Andrew School: The Myrtle Beach school will be dismissing early on Friday at 11:30 a.m.

Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School: The school in Darlington will dismiss at 12 p.m., on Friday.

Williamsburg County School District: Williamsburg County School District primary and elementary schools will dismiss at 11a.m. Friday, and middle and high schools will dismiss at 11:30 a.m., officials say.

Events

Beach, Boogie and BBQ Festival - Friday events have been canceled. Details here.

Coastal Uncorked's Chocolate Under The Moon - The event will be moved to the ballroom at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, located at 2101 N. Oak St., in Myrtle Beach. The remainder of the events for 2016 Coastal Uncorked will go on as scheduled at Broadway at the Beach. Events take place under the large tent in the parking lot behind Pavilion Park Central, near the Welcome Center on the 21st Avenue side of Broadway at the Beach.

Darlington Raceway - NASCAR is postponing all at-track activity for Darlington Raceway on Friday.

An updated schedule for Saturday and Sunday will be distributed later in the day on Thursday. Thursday night's Car Hauler Parade will continue as scheduled. All press conferences and the Special Ceremony for Cale Yarborough on Friday are canceled.

Friday grandstand ticket holders may bring their tickets to the ticket office on Saturday and receive $5 off an admission to the NASCAR XFINITY Series VFW Sports Clip Help a Hero 200 race. 

Horry County Parks and Recreation - All after-school programs will be canceled Friday due to inclement weather. After-school programs will resume on Tuesday.

Labor Day Weekend Shag Contest - The Competitive Shag Association (CSA) Labor Day Weekend Shag Contest has been postponed due to the storm.

Strand Cinema - The films scheduled to be screened Friday are canceled. The two films will be shown next Saturday, September 10 at the usual screening times of 2:30 p.m. (for Suffragette) and 7 p.m. (for The Age of Adaline). They will be open on Saturday, September 3 for their matinee and evening films. 

Businesses 

Conway/Loris Adult Day Care: Both facilities will be closed on Friday.
