MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A suspect wanted for a shooting at a Five Points bar in July that sent another man to the hospital has been arrested by Myrtle Beach Police.

Eric Lavin McCrea, 34, was arrested Wednesday by Myrtle Beach Police, according to online records. McCrea was wanted on charges of attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a firearm during a violent crime.

According to a police report, officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to the emergency room where a man had been brought in with a gunshot wound on July 22.

A witness who was at the hospital with the victim said he was coming in the front door of a bar with an address that matches Natalia's Bar and Grill in the Five Points neighborhood. The witness said he heard three gunshots. The witness did not see the shooter, but said the victim was about to sit down at the bar before the shots rang out.

Two other witnesses drove the victim to the hospital.

The suspect in the shooting was identified as McCrea.

As of Wednesday afternoon, McCrea is being held at the Myrtle Beach Jail without bond, according to online records.
