North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department celebrates arrival of new fire truck

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department has scheduled a fire truck Push-in event Wednesday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. at Fire Station #1 located at 1015 Second Avenue South.

According to a press release from the City of NMB, city council members, public safety personnel and others will push the new fire truck into its bay and celebrate the arrival of the truck with the public.

The celebration of the arrival of a new fire truck has been a source of pride for volunteer fire companies for more than 100 years, the press release states.

    FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Four people were stabbed near Bartell's Landing and Position Corner Sunday evening according to Florence County Major Michael Nunn.  Nunn says the incident happened shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday. The victims were rushed to an area hospital.     ROBESON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Four people were shot — and one seriously injured — following an argument near the Sundew gas station in Robeson County late Saturday night, according to Chief Kenneth Sealey. The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday. All persons were sent to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
