Nominations now open for Best Throwback Paint Scheme

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – Fans can now vote for their favorite throwback theme for this weekend’s race by voting on Darlington’s website.

According to the website, there are more than 35 paint schemes to choose from and fans can vote once a day through Thursday, September 1.

Once voting closes on Thursday, the top five designs will be presented to a panel of NASCAR Hall of Fame members.

The driver of "the best in show" will be honored during Bojangles' Southern 500 pre-race ceremonies.

Voting is simple, just click here to cast your vote for the best paint scheme.

    BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office is looking to identify a suspect who robbed a BP gas station Saturday night, according to a release. The suspect robbed the gas station at 5053 Southport-Supply Road in Southport around 8:30 Saturday night.     Educators of the future are taking a stand, following a vigil held on the camps of Coastal Carolina University honoring the 17 lives lost in a Florida shooting. CCU students Tyler Bealmear and Kaycelyn Laymon have a love and passion for children and education, their hearts broken by the tragedy, but each refusing to let situations like these continue.
