HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – Three Hartsville residents were taken into custody Thursday for allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab.

According to information from Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd, Danny Larue Moore II, 32, Eric Michael Stokes, 31, and Lisa Marie Winburn Matteson, 31, were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine; and illegal disposal of methamphetamine waste.

Their arrests came after the Hartsville Fire Department was called to Crowley Street in reference to a fire.

When firefighters arrived, they reportedly noticed several burn piles with contents relating to a meth lab and called for law enforcement, according to Byrd.

The Darlington County Drug Enforcement Unit arrived and allegedly found the meth lab-related items.
