LATTA, SC (WMBF) – An incident report from the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office offers further details into an investigation regarding a sexual harassment complaint filed against an employee of the town of Latta.

According to the report, the individual in question is Willie Hooks, who works for the water department.

The complainant told DCSO deputies the harassment started around April or May, with Hooks, her immediate supervisor, making sexual comments about and to her.

According to the report, Hooks was reportedly trying to get the woman fired so he could hire one of his wife’s friends.

The complainant originally went to the Latta Police Department. A DCSO deputy met with police Chief Crystal Moore, who said she was related to the accused water department supervisor by marriage and asked for county law enforcement to come in and take the report.

That investigation has since been passed along to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division.
