Hartsville's Parks and Recreation sponsors Pokémon Go in the Park Event

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - The City of Hartsville’s Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Pokemon Go in the Park Event at the local parks every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting September 6 and ending September 27.

According to the City of Hartsville press release, the event is welcomed to all ages. Pokemon trainers are invited to wear their team colors and drop in at one of the local parks.

Each week a new park location will be picked and lures will be dropped at the location every 30 minutes, the press release states.

Prizes will be given away for Coolest Pokemon Picture, Weakest Pokemon Caught, and Team Competitions.

The schedule of locations is as follows:

•September 6 – Burry Park

•September 13 – Byerly Park, Soccer Fields

•September 20 – Lawton Park Pavilion

•September 27 – Burry Park

    A 20-year-old Florence County man was arrested for allegedly sending a nude image to a minor on social media. Brock Bladen Garrett, of Scranton, SC, was arrested on Tuesday, October 17 on one charge disseminating of obscene material to a person twelve years of age or younger, according to a news release from the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.

Lenada De’erick Hunt, 20, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with minor 11-14 years of age, second degree. Officers responded to a residence in Longs on Oct. 18 in reference to an alleged assault.

Zackary Adam Callihan, 28, has been charged with assault of a high and aggravated nature and unlawful neglect of child or helpless person by legal custodian. On October 3, police dispatch transferred a call from Charleston reporting suspected abuse against a 2 month old victim.
