Hartsville's Parks and Recreation sponsors Pokémon Go in the Park Event

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - The City of Hartsville’s Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a Pokemon Go in the Park Event at the local parks every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. starting September 6 and ending September 27.

According to the City of Hartsville press release, the event is welcomed to all ages. Pokemon trainers are invited to wear their team colors and drop in at one of the local parks.

Each week a new park location will be picked and lures will be dropped at the location every 30 minutes, the press release states.

Prizes will be given away for Coolest Pokemon Picture, Weakest Pokemon Caught, and Team Competitions.

The schedule of locations is as follows:

•September 6 – Burry Park

•September 13 – Byerly Park, Soccer Fields

•September 20 – Lawton Park Pavilion

•September 27 – Burry Park

Registration and other event information will be provided at each event.
