HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County police are searching for a man wanted in connection with an assault that happened at a home in the Myrtle Beach area earlier this month.

According to an Horry County Police Department incident report, the female victim told police she was making dinner at her residence in the 200 block of Weyburn Street on Aug. 10 when three men knocked on the door.

When she answered the door, one of the men reportedly grabbed her and tried to pull her out onto the porch, the report stated. The victim told police the suspect wrapped his arm around her neck and put a gun to her head.

A struggle ensued, and the woman fell and hit her head on a piece of metal on the screen door, according to the report.

Investigators with the HCPD have released a sketch of one of the suspects. He is described as a light-skinned black male with dreadlocked hair.

The other two suspects were described as medium-skinned black males with short hair.

All three are reportedly tall, skinny and in their 20s, the report stated.

Anyone with information is asked to call the HCPD tip line at (843) 915-8477.
