NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Thanks to an area burglar leaving behind a key piece of evidence, North Myrtle Beach police were able to identify the alleged thief, but he hasn't been arrested, and the victim still needs justice.

Authorities are searching for 30-year-old Thomas Robert Brent. The North Myrtle Beach police report says on October 26, 2015, he left his right index fingerprint on the back of a woman's door in the 5300 block of Little River Neck Road.

The report goes on to state the victim was headed to bed around 9 p.m. when she noticed her flat screen TV missing in the back room and then she saw the door was off its hinges. She called police.

Brent is wanted for first-degree burglary.
