NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A female suspect turned herself over to police custody after stealing over $2,000 in merchandise from a store earlier this month.

According to a press release from city spokesman Pat Dowling, the suspect is identified as Latonya Ashantia Moses.

The woman appeared to have worked alone and was in the store about 20 minutes before leaving, the release stated. Roughly $2,500 in merchandise was reportedly taken.

Moses was charged with one count of shoplifting, according to Dowling.
