MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – There may be other fish in the sea, but not for a Florida man who hooked his girlfriend with an aquatic proposal at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach Tuesday.

Kate Ennis, a veterinary technician from Fort Myers, posted video of her enjoying a fish tank at the aquarium with her boyfriend, David Teixeria, an assistant director with Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics. The guide asks if anyone has any questions, and David says yes as a scuba diver swims up to the couple.

The diver then flips over a sign with the words: “Katie, Will You Marry Me?” On cue, David pulls out the ring and gets on bended knee. She says yes, and they embrace before a cheering crowd.

Kate’s page does not say when the couple will be “taking the plunge.”
