HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – Hartsville police and the U.S. Marshal's Task Force arrested a man Monday who was wanted for attempted murder.
According to a press release from the Hartsville Police Department, Corey Simon was arrested without incident at a relative's home.
He was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon and discharging a firearm into a dwelling.
Hartsville Police Lt. Mark Blair said Simon was charged in connection with an incident that happened back in May.
The suspect allegedly fired a weapon at a home in the 400 block of Jasper Avenue in Hartsville, according to Blair. He added there were individuals in the residence at the time, but no injuries were reported.
Simon was booked into the Darlington County Detention Center, where is awaiting a bond hearing, the release stated.
