Florence County Sheriff's investigators searching for burglary suspect

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office continue to search for a burglary suspect.

According to a FCSO press release, Gene Palmer Owens, 41, is wanted for an alleged burglary that happened Tuesday at a home in the 2300 block of South Rosemary Avenue in Florence.

The suspect allegedly was seen leaving the area a short time after entering the home.

Owens is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and having brown hair and blue eyes.

    A team of 30 Marine Raiders and Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Navy Corpsmen are set to march through the Grand Strand Monday as part of a 900-mile walk to honor service members who died in a plane crash over a year ago.
