Horry County Animal Care Center begins low-cost spay and neuter clinic Tuesday

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Local pet owners can take advantage of the Horry County Animal Care Center’s low-cost spay and neuter clinic that begins on Tuesday, August 9 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. located at 1932 Industrial Park Road in Conway.

According to Horry County Animal Care Center’s media release, the costs for cats is $50 and $80 for dogs. The special pricing for government assistance residents is $20 for cats and $40 for dogs.

The benefits of spaying and neutering pet dogs and cats can prevent health problems such as: decreasing the chances of a pet running away and helping to decrease the number of unwanted pregnancies, the media release states.

Pet owners can make an appointment Monday through Friday in person at the Horry County Animal Care Center.
