Laurinburg police investigate rash of vehicle break-ins

LAURINBURG, NC (WMBF) – The Laurinburg Police Department is reminding residents to lock their cars following a rash of vehicle break-ins within the community.

According to information on the department’s Facebook page, the majority of the incidents have happened in residential areas on the south end of Laurinburg. The exact number of break-ins was not immediately known.

“Remember, it’s a good idea no matter where you live to secure your car doors, shed doors, garages and any other exterior doors,” the post stated.

Residents are reminded to never leave valuables in plain sight, roll up windows, lock doors and never leave keys inside the vehicle.
