MBPD reports 34 auto thefts last week, 5 handguns stolen

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police are urging residents to keep their vehicles locked after 34 auto burglary incidents were reported last week, and five handguns were reported stolen out of vehicles.

In a Facebook post, the MBPD states that of those 34 burglary incidents, 19 of them happened to unlocked vehicles.

“Remember, always lock your car and hide your valuables if you must leave them in the car!” the post states.
