Woman arrested in connection with nightclub shooting in Florence County

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – According to Florence County Sheriff’s Office press release, on July 19 a woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime for a shooting at a nightclub on Karisma Road near Coward, SC.  

According to investigators, Mildred Monica Montgomery, 27, of Lake City allegedly shot a victim in the chest with a handgun after a verbal and physical altercation at the nightclub.

The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for the gunshot wound, the press release states.

The condition of the victim is unknown at this time.

Montgomery is being held at the FCSO and will appear before a Florence County Magistrate for a bond hearing.

The FCSO is currently investigating this case.
