Storms knock out power to over 3,000 customers in Lumberton area

LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – Storms moving through the area Tuesday night has left many Robeson County residents without power.

According to information from Duke Energy’s website, approximately 3,091 customers were without power as of 10:40 p.m.

The outages were reported in the Lumberton area, near Interstate 74 and the Lumberton Municipal Airport.

According to Duke Energy, the first outage was reported at 9:02 p.m. An estimated time for power restoration was not listed, as the website listed that crews were assessing damage.
