CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A movie that used the quaint city of Conway as its backdrop will have its premiere this weekend on the Lifetime Channel.

According to a Facebook post on Conway Downtown Alive, “The Legend of Alice Flagg” will air at 8 p.m., on Saturday, July 16.

For the Lifetime airing, the title has been changed to “Honeymoon from Hell,” but the worldwide release will be “The Legend of Alice Flagg.”

This is the film’s official synopsis, according to the Lifetime website:

While honeymooning in South Carolina, Julia and Rivers McCoy are terrorized by an unknown assailant when they are stranded at a bed and breakfast during a hurricane. Are they victims of an elaborate prank, or is someone – something – after them?

The film is one of three that was filmed in the Conway area in 2015. Some locations included the Theater of the Republic and a local home.
