MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - Looking for the perfect gown at the right price can be a stressful endeavor for a bride.

One local bridal salon will participate in a national bridal gown sale to help brides find the perfect dress without breaking the bank.

At Fancy Frocks Bridal Prom and Tuxedo brides can say yes to a cheaper dress as part of the National Bridal Sale Day event.

National Bridal Sale Day was created to help thousands of brides find their dream dress at a fraction of the price.

"We hope its going to be like Black Friday for bridal salons," said Paula Farish, owner of Fancy Frocks Bridal Prom and Tuxedo.

The bridal salon, located in Murrells Inlet, is one of more that 800 across the nation participating.

"Bridal stores were getting together not as competitors but to help each other to build one special day where brides can come if they are on a budget," Farish said. "They can come in and still get a fabulous dress at a much better price and enjoy a wonderful wedding without having to worry about breaking the bank."

The event, set for Saturday, July 16, is being advertised on popular wedding sites and Farish said the sale is the first time this nationwide sale is being held.

"Brides can certainly call and make an appointment, and we will also honor the sale prices on Friday if Saturday is booked," Farish said. "Brides are also welcomed to come in as well. There will be a few dresses that they can try on without having a consultant on hand."

Farish said gowns will be marked down so they can make room for new inventory. Some of the dresses will be priced as low as $99.

"We have $2,000 dresses that are on sale half price, so that's a $1,000 savings," she said. "That's pretty substantial for a really top-of-the-line wedding gown."
