MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police and emergency crews responded to a shooting on Spivey and King Street early Wednesday morning, according to Lt. Joey Crosby. Two men are now charged with attempted murder, reports say.

WMBF News arrived to the scene around 1 a.m. and discovered heavy police presence and investigators on the scene.

Sgt. Hall said one black male was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center to be treated for his non-life suffering injuries. Reports say the victim was shot in the buttocks.

One woman said she heard "pops" and thought they were fireworks, then realized they were gun shots. The witness also said a bullet went through a wall into her home, according to reports.

Myrtle Beach Police arrested and charged 18-year-old Tyler Harris and 19-year-old Marcel Bridges with attempted murder in connection to the shooting. Bridges was also charged with assault and discharging firearms into a dwelling.

No bond is set at this time.
