Grand Strand, Pee Dee counties under severe thunderstorm warning

MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C., has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Darlington, Dillon and Marlboro counties.

The warning will remain in effect until 11:30 p.m., Friday.

Winds up to 60 mph remain possible with these storms.

Additionally, a severe thunderstorm warning for Dillon, Florence, Horry and Marion counties was issued and set to expire at 12:30 a.m., Saturday.

The NWS has received reports of downed trees in Bennettsville, as well as specific reports of a tree down at the intersection of Coxe Road and Sandy Grove Church Road in Marlboro County.

Two trees were also reportedly down at the intersection of Hebron Dunbar Road and Manning Farm Road in Marlboro County, according to the NWS.
