Coroner identifies 4 people who died Thursday from 3 Horry Co. wrecks

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Four people died Thursday as a result of three different vehicle collisions in Horry County, according to Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.

John Landers, 56, from Myrtle Beach, died at a local hospital Thursday from fatal injuries sustained during a motorcycle collision on June 25 at Highway 17 and Seabreeze Drive, McSpadden stated.

Tristan Marino, 20, from the Conway area, also died Thursday at local hospital from injuries sustained in a vehicle collision that occurred on July 3 on Highway 548 near Hope Circle, according to McSpadden.

McSpadden identified the two people who died from a vehicle collision Thursday night on Highway 501 near Rabon Road: 25-year-old Richard Chapman and 26-year-old Danielle Lemmerman, both from Cartersville, Georgia.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate all these cases.

    The person of interest in the double-murder and bank robbery in Conway on Monday is in custody. Brandon MIchael Council was arrested in Greenville, North Carolina Wednesday, along with two other people, authorities there confirmed.  Brandon Michael Council was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of two CresCom bank employees during a bank robbery at the CresCom Bank in Conway on Monday afternoon.

    A BB gun was brought into Waccamaw Elementary by a student on the first day of school, a spokesperson for Horry County Schools confirmed. A 6-year-old boy in first grade showed up with the BB gun in his backpack, confirmed HCS spokeswoman Teal Britton.
