Heat advisory in effect for the Fourth of July

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Monday will once again be very hot. Heat advisories are in effect. Feels-like temperatures will be above 105° in most areas. Some areas could be feeling close to 110°. With Monday being a big holiday and a lot of people wanting to be outside, staying hydrated and cool is going to be essential. Make sure you stay hydrated and be sure to take frequent breaks if you are working outside. 

Heat exhaustion and other heat related illnesses can occur with temperatures this hot. Be sure to keep a watchful eye on the elderly and the children. Also keep in mid your pets can overheat as well. The heat continues through Tuesday. Another heat advisory will likely be posted for Tuesday due to the extreme heat expected.
