HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Over 250 Horry Electric Cooperative customers near Ketchuptown and east of Conway are without power due to severe weather sweeping across the area. Several downed trees have been reported by the National Weather Service.
Five outages were affecting 269 customers in Ketchuptown, south of Mullins, and in an area east of Conway, according to an outage map from the Horry County Electric Cooperative.
Horry Electric reported on Facebook that they lost transmission at their Cool Springs and Aynor substations. Later they said they crews brought the transmission back up, and were working on power restoration.
The National Weather Service is reported the storm has downed trees on SC-19, Alford Road, and at the intersection of SC-66 and Holly Hill Road in Horry County.
