MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach police are searching for the suspect in a stabbing, after finding a victim severely stabbed in an alley.
Police were called to the alley by Hungry Howie's off 16th Avenue South around 2 p.m. Tuesday, and found the victim sitting on the ground covered in blood. The police report says the victim had packing tape on his wounds, which were severe, and was in extreme pain.
The victim told police that a man nicknamed Bird stabbed him multiple times over $20 that Bird had given him to buy weed.
According to the report, the victim said the stabbing happened under a stairway at the Sea Mist Resort around when the sun came up. Police found the crime scene, and described finding bedding under the stairs covered in what looked like blood.
The victim was taken to the hospital.
Wednesday morning, police said they had a suspect.
