CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County Police Department was dispatched to a residence at Coastal Villas in the Conway area of Horry County on June 9 approximately around noon in reference to locating an individual for highway patrol, according to a HCPD police report.
An HCPD Officer made contact with Lee Mark Huggins, 43, of Hemingway as he was approaching the same residence and asked for his identification, states a media release from the HCPD.
As the officer spoke with Huggins, he noticed drug paraphernalia in his car and the odor of marijuana.
According to the HCPD, the officer searched the car and found six grams of heroin packaged for sale and one gram of cocaine.
Huggins was taken into custody at the Horry County Detention Center, and charged with one count of possession of heroin and one count of trafficking in heroin.
