DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – A person was caught on camera placing a “card skimmer’ and camera on a Darlington bank ATM on Sunday morning, and police are asking for the public’s help in identifying them.

The skimmer and camera were found on an ATM at one of the First Citizen’s Bank ATMs at 511 Pearl Street by a bank employee at about 6 p.m. Sunday by a bank employee, according to a news release from the Darlington Police Department.

The skimmer was placed on the machine the same day at about 6:13 a.m.

Police have released photos of the suspect attached the camera and card skimmer.

Anyone with information about the subject is asked to call DPD at 843-398-4026 or call 911.

Card skimmers are devices placed on top of an ATM’s card reader. They read and store a cardholder’s information for later retrieval.
