Second suspect arrested, charged with murder in Darlington County shooting

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A second man has been arrested in connection with a weekend shooting in Darlington County.

According to a press release, Jason Lamont Gadson, 29, of Manning, was arrested for murder, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.  He is currently being held in the Darlington County Detention Center.

Previously, Zackery Sanders, 21, of Alcolu, was arrested on Sunday. He was also charged with murder, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy.

The two were charged after a 31-year-old man from Hartsville was killed and another person was critically injured in a shooting incident early Saturday morning in Darlington County.

Authorities with the DCSO said the shooting happened off of Lunn Drive in the Pine Ridge area of Hartsville. 

This case is still ongoing and additional arrest and charges are forthcoming.
