HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A man was arrested and charged by Horry County police following a standoff on Thursday in Loris.

According to Horry County Police Lt. Raul Denis, Vincent Bellamy, 28, was charged with first-degree domestic violence, two counts of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, failure to appear in court, sex offender registry violation and violating conditions of electronic monitoring.

Bellamy remained incarcerated at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Monday under a $16,500 bond.

On Thursday, HCPD officers, the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms’ gang task force and the U.S. Marshal’s fugitive task force attempted to arrest the suspect at a home on Justin Lane in Loris, Denis said.

Bellamy was considered armed and dangerous. He reportedly barricaded himself inside the home, but ultimately surrendered to police without incident.
