HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – There is more construction happening at Sayebrook Town Center in Horry County.

The latest addition to the center, located off S.C. 544 and the U.S. 17 Bypass, is another new retail building that crews were hard at work on Monday putting up roofing and siding.

County officials said the new strip will be home to two new businesses. There is also a lot more construction on the way, according to the master plan for the town center. Future work will basically fill all the areas that aren’t developed yet.

This new wing has two units and the county said Kirkland's is looking into one of them.

In the strip mall which houses Ulta and Rack Room Shoes, there are still two empty storefronts.

On the other side of S.C. 544 , across from Sayebrook, construction is underway on a Panera Bread restaurant. Crews on Monday were working on the outside of the strip, which will be home to a pizza shop and an eyeglass store.

Another Sayebrook business is celebrating its grand opening this week - Sub Zero Ice Cream and Yogurt, beside Coccadotts and a party shop.

The owner of Sub Zero said moving into the shopping center was a no-brainer.

“That’s one of the reasons we came out here - growth of the area,” said Richard Nicola, owner of Sub Zero.
