Police: Robbery a possible motive in Myrtle Beach shooting that sent 2 to hospital

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police are investigating a shooting in the parking lot of the former Myrtle Square Mall near 24th Avenue North. Lt. Joey Crosby with MBPD said two victims were taken to an area hospital with unknown conditions. 

The preliminary investigation has revealed the possible motive in the shooting was robbery, according to Lt. Crosby. 

A possible suspect was described by police as a black male, about 5-feet-10-inches tall, 150 pounds in weight, last seen wearing a black shirt and black baggy pants. The suspect was last seen running north from the incident location.
